Alton Koppang, 83, Bismarck, N.D., died Friday, January 2, 2009 at his home.
     Funeral services were held Tuesday at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bismarck with Rev. Larry Giese officiating.  Burial was at the N.D. Veterans Cemetery with military honors provided by VFW Post #1326.
     Visitation was Monday at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. 

H. Thomas Iverson

H. Thomas Iverson, 67, of Mayville, N.D. lost his battle with cancer on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at Union Hospital in Mayville. 
Visitation was held Thursday, January 8 at Mayville Lutheran Church.
The funeral will be Friday, January 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Mayville Lutheran Church.
Interment is at St. John’s Cemetery, Hatton, N.D.

Wendell Torgeson

Wendell Maurice (Torge) Torgeson, age 82, of Portland, N.D. died peacefully and unexpectedly December 28, 2008 in Bismarck, N.D. surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren after celebrating a grandson’s wedding. 
 Visitation was held at Baker Funeral Home, Mayville, N.D. on Thursday, January 1. The funeral will be held at Aurdal Lutheran Church, Portland, N.D. on Friday, January 2 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at the Aurdal Cemetery, Portland, N.D. 

Timothy Jay Callahan

Timothy Jay Callahan, age 46, of Manvel, N.D. passed away in Bismarck, N.D.  Tim was born on May 22, 1962.  He is the son of the late Glenn and Ramona (Nagle) Callahan.
Visitation was for the hour prior to the service in the church.
Spring interment will be in St. Timothy’s Catholic Cemetery, Manvel, N.D .

Gladys Nelson

Gladys Alvina Nelson, 81 of Hatton, N.D. passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the Tri-County Health Center at Hatton.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Tri-County Health Center at Hatton with Chaplain Dean Lyste officiating.  The interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Fargo.

Alyce (Young) Marquis, 100, passed away on February 15, 2008, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck.
Memorials may be given to the Jim McMullen or Dick Forseth scholarship funds at Mayville State University.
At Alyce’s request, no formal services will be held at this time.

Melvin Edwardson, 90, a retired railroad telegrapher/ operator from Shelby,  Mont., passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at a Great Falls hospital from natural causes. Memorials may be sent in Melvin’s name to the organization of donor’s choice.

Myron J. Koppang, 72, Wahpeton, N.D. died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Victor, Gordon and Richard; and his brother-in-law, Ardell Strand.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
