Members of the Hatton-Northwood Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended the ND FBLA Fall Leadership Conference in Bismarck on September 23 and 24. Approximately 300 FBLA members from across the state participated in this conference, where the emphasis was on developing the leadership skills of local chapter members. 
Members attending the conference had the opportunity to participate in training sessions for local chapter officers, as well as workshops on a variety of topics like chapter and member recognition programs. Developing interviewing and speaking skills, and preparing for competitive events. The officers who attended for the Hatton-Northwood Chapter were Mark Aamold (president), Katie Ellingson (vice president), Marin Aamold (secretary), Casey Kemp (historian), Ryan Cigelske (treasurer), Amanda Taylor (reporter), and Callie Berg (Northwood Rep.).
FBLA is a professional organization for students interested in pursuing business careers. This year’s theme of “Leadership in Action” reflects the goals of FBLA members, some of the best and brightest of today’s young people. Its mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
